Atlas is a Chrome extension that enhances your YouTube viewing experience with AI-powered dubbing, voice commands, and smart note-taking. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

What We Collect

Our extension collects the following data to provide AI dubbing and enhance your YouTube experience:

1. Email Address: Your Chrome profile email (via Chrome Identity API) is used to create a unique user ID for billing and subscription management
2. Video Information: Video ID and language selection when you use dubbing features
3. Usage Analytics: Feature usage events (dubbing started, notes created, settings changed) to improve the extension and track billing
4. Notes & Preferences: Timestamped notes and settings (volume, speed, filters) are stored locally in your browser and synced across your devices via Chrome Sync

How We Use Your Data

• Email is sent to our backend server and Google Analytics for user identification, billing, and usage tracking
• Email is shared with Dodo Payments (our payment processor) for subscription management
• Video IDs and usage events are sent to Google Analytics to understand feature usage and improve the extension
• All data is used exclusively to provide dubbing services, billing, and feature improvement
• We do NOT use your data for marketing, advertising, or sell it to third parties

What We DON'T Collect

• ❌ Browsing history outside of YouTube
• ❌ Video content or what you watch
• ❌ Full viewing history or habits
• ❌ Passwords or authentication credentials
• ❌ Payment card information (handled by Dodo Payments)
• ❌ Location data
• ❌ Cross-site tracking or advertising profiles

We do not share your data with any other third parties
